Threadhead

Threadhead is an app that scans articles of clothing, using the tag that's attached to the back of your pants or top. That tag has all the information Threadhead needs to find out the color, size, store of origin and fabric material. Ultimately, the team and I wanted to create an app that helps everyone, including those that are often disregarded in the fashion industry. Many times at the store, it’s difficult to picture an article from home that could compliment the new item, but with Threadhead, your entire closet is at your fingertips

The Challenge

When creating the app, I placed emphasis on a user-friendly experience for all by researching color palettes that those of differing colorblindness forms could access easily. I also relied on text size to allow users to adjust the text to their specifications for optimal visibility. Through an algorithm, personalized recommendations appear based on your current closet. Those change and evolve depending on what you like and dislike from the suggestions to provide you with optimal clothing choices to expand your closet while complimenting what you already own.
